Q: What was the inspiration behind your new single, “This Romance?”
A: “I was inspired to write “This Romance” while I was in a “no strings attached” relationship. It’s about being afraid to fall because you’ve been hurt before. You set boundaries so you won’t catch feelings, but that almost never works. This song is for the young, the reckless, the reluctant lovers. The ones that make the most of every moment.”
Q: You worked with Nashville producer, Dominic Gibbs on the track. What was that experience like?
A: “It was amazing and very refreshing! I wrote the song as an acoustic trackr, and knew exactly what direction I wanted to take the song. Dom understood that vision and executed it flawlessly. He’s an awesome person as well!”
Q: What are your thoughts on the state of pop music today?
A: “I feel like there’s a lot of dope stuff coming out right now! I’ve noticed that experimental and obscurity is starting to become mainstream which I love!”
Q: I love your lyrics and how descriptive they are. How do you come up with them?
A: “I’m mostly inspired by personal experience, and I try to be as descriptive as possible when writing. I try to write from the perspective that you need to SHOW them what happened. Sight, smell, taste, feel… to captivate the listener by being as descriptive as possible.”
Q: You recently shared a teaser for “This Romance’s” official music video on your social media. What can we expect from it?
A: “You can expect it to be fun, reckless, passionate, and real… with a twist at the end. You won’t expect it.”
Q: When can we expect it?
A: “I don’t have a set date as of yet, we’re still working on wrapping up some of the final scenes, but you should expect it within a few weeks!”
Q: Where can we keep up with all of your latest releases, and upcoming shows?
A: “To stay updated, you can follow me on all major music platforms, my website jessicamoralemusic.com and my socials at @jessicamoralemusic”
