Becoming Part of Grammy U!

Are you interested in a career in the music industry? Are you a currently a student in college trying to find a way to get into the music industry?

Grammy University is the right membership for you! Grammy U allows students many opportunities to attend networking events, behind the scenes sound checks, Mentorships  programs, ambassadorship programs, and many more. Grammy U gives students that one step closer to achieving success within their career goals!

How to Join

  1. Visit www.grammypro.com/join
  2. Scroll down to “Apply to become a Student Member”
  3. Complete the application, and attach your current school schedule listing music courses
  4. If not majoring or minoring in a music program, attach documentation showcasing your commitment to a career in music
  5. Please have a digital copy of your schedule or transcripts to attach to the application

Membership Price

$50 Membership –  A maximum of four (4) consecutive years plus two (2) consecutive post-graduate years, not to exceed six (6) total years.

Membership Qualifications

Membership in GRAMMY U is open to full-time students who plan to pursue a career in the music/recording industry. If you want to apply your skills and your passion to music, GRAMMY U is your ideal career partner.

To join GRAMMY U, you must meet ONE of the following membership qualifications:

  • Attending a music school or technical training institution
  • Pursuing a major or minor in music, entertainment or music business
  • Planning to work in the music/recording industry upon graduation utilizing your chosen field of study. Current coursework must be applicable to the music/recording industry. Members who use this option must call the Recording Academy Member Services department at 310.392.3777 to communicate how they are committed to a career in music, such as an internship or job, examples of articles/papers written, etc.
